Design Perspective: Letting "Surprises" Bloom Sustainably at Your Fingertips

As the most popular area of the expo, the design goal for the lucky draw interactive zone was to be “lightweight, safe, and highly interactive.” Leveraging the flexibility and toughness of paper-based materials, we created an immersive “Food Luck” space for the attendees.

Interactive Aesthetics: The Fun of Large-Scale Paper-Based Props

“Food Luck” Big Wheel: Utilizing the ultra-lightweight properties of honeycomb paperboard, we developed a large rotating disc interactive installation. Through high-precision axial mechanics calculations, we achieved smooth rotation of the paper disc, allowing visitors to experience the blend of environmental protection and good fortune as they spun the wheel.

Giant “Lucky Dice”: The specially made large paper-based dice leveraged the impact resistance of corrugated paperboard. They were not only visually striking but also, due to their lightweight nature, offered high safety even during vigorous throwing interactions, making them very popular with children and parents on-site.

Brand IP Expression: Cute Guidance and Photo-Check-in Integration

3D IP Standee: We created a three-dimensional paper-based model of the expo mascot, “Tao Xiaole.” The layered thickness achieved by stacking multiple paperboards gave the IP character a more vibrant presence, making it the best photo spot for attracting visitors on-site.

Integrated Information Carrier: The lucky draw rule signs and the backdrop were all designed using all-paper construction, integrating functional information with decorative art to ensure a highly unified visual identity for the area.

Industry Feedback

The interactive zone, with its high fun factor and “green, warm” tactile feel, became a major crowd-pleaser at this year’s Food & Catering Expo. Mainstream media reports noted that the widespread application of such paper-based interactive props marks a significant shift in exhibition interaction from “single-use consumption” towards “sustainable experiences.”
