Empowering a New Journey of International Trade with "Green Energy"
As a key visual medium for the 70th anniversary of the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association, this project aims to demonstrate the Hong Kong trading industry’s active response to its commitment to sustainable development, alongside its pursuit of economic benefits, through the innovative application of new paper-based materials.
"Paper Art" Reshaping of the Hong Kong Island Skyline
Three-Dimensional Landmark Narration: In front of the main backdrop, we used honeycomb paperboard to precisely die-cut three-dimensional silhouettes of iconic Hong Kong landmarks such as “Golden Bauhinia Square, Bank of China Tower, and International Finance Centre (IFC).” Through a layered foreground-background design, we created a broad vision of Hong Kong’s export industry, rooted in its motherland and reaching out to the world.
Color and Light & Shadow: Utilizing high-precision eco-friendly spray printing technology, we integrated the 70th-anniversary theme colors with minimalist geometric lines. The paper’s unique, fine texture, under professional studio lighting on site, presented a more premium and non-reflective visual effect than traditional spray-painted fabric, making it the perfect background for guest photos.
Craftsmanship Core: The Art of Balancing Strength and Lightness
Full Mortise-and-Tenon Modular Structure: As seen from a side view, the main backdrop is supported by heavy-duty honeycomb paperboard modules. All components are joined through mortise-and-tenon interlocking, completely eliminating the need for glue or metal supports. This results in a structure as solid as a wall while showcasing a minimalist industrial aesthetic.
Extremely Convenient Deployment: Thanks to the modular design, this large backdrop system allowed for rapid “block-style” assembly. Its lightweight nature significantly reduced the complexity of installation and transportation costs within high-end hotels or business venues.

At the 70th Anniversary Cocktail Celebration, this uniquely designed eco-friendly backdrop attracted many industry leaders and guests, prompting them to stop and engage. The concept of a “green event led by innovation” that it conveyed received high praise from the Exporters’ Association and international partners present, successfully enhancing the Association’s industry influence in the field of sustainable development.
