Design Perspective: Building an Imaginative Urban Theatre with Paper
This project transforms the public spaces of the shopping mall into an open paper art theatre. A multi-node display system is formed by the Eiffel Tower, giraffe, zebra, curved whale installations, paper couture character sculptures and giant 3D lettering “art city”, enabling visitors to encounter memorable paper-based artworks along every circulation route.
The overall design blends bright vivid hues with natural paper tones, retaining the mild, eco-friendly texture of paper materials while boosting the vitality of the commercial space via highly recognizable colors including purple, orange, green and blue. More than a single atrium decoration, the project links the mall’s full circulation with scattered installation nodes, delivering continuous photo-taking, resting and interactive experiences for shoppers during their visit.
Urban Imagination: Landmarks & Giant Lettering Reinforce Spatial Identity
Paper-Based Eiffel Tower Installation:
A large-scale Eiffel Tower sculpture sits at the core display zone, crafted from paper panels through hollow cutting, plug-in assembly and 3D splicing. The lightweight, permeable structure faithfully replicates the classic architectural silhouette; paired with red railings and themed backdrops, it becomes a prominent photo hotspot and evokes artistic urban associations within the mall.
Giant “art city” Letter Landscape:
Colorful three-dimensional letter sculptures translate concepts of “art”, “city” and “paper art dreams” into visual symbols for viewing, photo ops and social media sharing. Diverse paper textures and color treatments applied to individual letters enrich visual layers and deliver the brand theme intuitively to consumers.
Paper Art Habitat: Animal & Character Sculptures Create Wandering Experience
Paper Animal Sculpture Group:
Forms of giraffes, zebras, elks and whales are constructed via slicing, plug-in joints and layered stacking, fully demonstrating paper’s capacity to shape curved surfaces and three-dimensional sculptures. Distributed across public zones, the animal installations form a sequential exploration path that extends customer dwell time and interaction.
Paper Couture Character Installation:
Layered paper sheets build fabric texture on the blue paper gown figure, balancing sculptural solidity and fashionable flair that aligns with retail consumption attributes. Transforming paper’s lightweight nature into couture aesthetics, the eco-friendly material delivers artistic outcomes with premium aesthetic value and trendy expression.
