Design Perspective: Transforming Mall Atrium into Children’s Fairy-Tale Playground

Centered on the core visual of “Kids’ Castle”, this project organically integrates festive atmosphere, children’s entertainment and commercial activities. The space adopts highly saturated hues including red, yellow, blue and purple, paired with kid-favorite shapes such as castles, planes, ships and train carriages, creating a relaxed, lively and exploratory child-friendly scene.
The design goes far beyond mere atrium decoration; it turns art installations into interactive, restful and photo-worthy activity zones. Children can walk inside paper planes, approach paper boats, and wander through castle gateways and play facilities. Parents tend to linger, take photos and share content during company, boosting foot traffic and event participation in the atrium.

Fairy-Tale Scenery: Immersive Children’s Space Built with Paper-Based Installations

Large-scale paper-based sculptures form the visual core of the atrium full of storylines and festive vibes.

Castle Gateway & Halloween Themed Entrance:
A castle facade installation stands at the atrium entrance, decorated with the “HAPPY HALLOWEEN” sign, pumpkin ornaments, arch structures and brick wall textures for strong festive recognition. With graphic printing, special cutting and modular assembly, lightweight paper walls form the primary visual highlight of the event venue.

Interactive Paper Plane & Paper Boat Installations:
A giant walk-in paper plane and enclosed paper boat props are set up in the space. As symbols of adventure and exploration, vehicles arouse children’s willingness to engage, upgrading static decorative displays into immersive experiential scenes.

Parent-Child Gathering Space: Integrated Event Functions & Commercial Experience

Beyond fairy-tale aesthetics, the project meets demands of event operation, product display, family rest and circulation layout, turning the atrium into a fully functional venue for commercial campaigns.

Fairy-Tale Carriage Display System:
Colorful carriage installations combine display, pop-up retail and interactive functions. Bright wheels, window frames and roof structures amplify the fun of children’s spaces. Equipped with display racks and themed props, they support festival events, kids’ merchandise showcases, parent-child workshops and brand promotions.

Play Circulation & Safe Child-Oriented Space:
Slides, low interactive installations and colorful mat areas form a soft play zone tailored for kids. The child-scale props feature bright colors and smooth rounded edges to draw children to play, while extending parents’ accompanying stay time.
