Design Perspective: When Traditional Paper Art Meets the "Heart of Machinery"

In the cultural and creative exhibition area of the Food & Catering Expo, we challenged the boundaries of paper-based materials to create a fully functional, recyclable “Rotating Hot Pot” interactive space. This is not just a static display but a “living” installation that integrates motor drive and lighting art.

Cross-Disciplinary Integration: The Precise Interlocking of Paper and Electricity

The most ingenious aspect of this project lies in the invisible integration of motors and mechanical principles.

Dynamic Interaction: Through our self-developed power transmission system, we embedded a circulating track beneath the all-paper tabletop, allowing the paper “hot pot plates” carrying cultural and creative products to genuinely rotate.

Structural Rigidity: Using high-strength honeycomb paperboard as the main load-bearing frame and through scientific force calculations, we ensured the stability and noise reduction of the structure under high-frequency motor operation, breaking the entrenched perception that “paper cannot support machinery.”

Atmosphere Reconstruction: Cyber Neon and Sustainable Materials

Light and Shadow Aesthetics: We cleverly reserved wiring channels within the paper framework and embedded colorful LED light strips. The collision between the cool-toned cyberpunk neon lights and the warm-toned texture of the paper base created a highly visually impactful “China-Chic” commercial atmosphere.

Playful Details: All props, including the cash register, microwave oven, and seasoning bottles, were die-cut from paperboard. This “all-paper” scene simulation provided an immersive photo-check-in experience for visitors and significantly boosted the conversion rate of cultural and creative products.

Industry Feedback

As a traffic hub in the cultural and creative exhibition area of the Food & Catering Expo, this installation became a benchmark for on-site interaction, leveraging its mechanical fun of “actually rotating” and its aesthetically pleasing pink visual design. It demonstrates to the market that new paper-based materials are not only an environmentally friendly choice but also a highly effective driver for creative commerce, pop-up stores, and brand IP displays.
